Philippine Ecotourism 101 – 2015

The first Philippine Ecotourism 101 held last July 23 & 24 at Fersal Hotel Diliman was a huge success with 70 delegates from 45 organizations in attendance. We had participants coming from local government units, provincial government offices, DOT and the private sector. There were attendees coming from Batanes to Zamboanga Sibugay.

We received numerous positive feedback. Delegates appreciated all the tools, concepts and methodologies that they learned from the event. They also enjoyed networking with peers from the industry who are as keen to learn and practice ecotourism.

Philippine Ecotourism 101 – 2016

The second Philippine Ecotourism 101 held at Pines View Hotel in Baguio on March 3 & 4, 2016 was a huge success. 91 delegates from 41 organizations participated, coming from local government units, provincial government offices, DOT and the private sector. There were delegates coming from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

We received several positive feedback and participants expressed their appreciation of the tools, concepts and methodologies that they learned from the event. They also enjoyed networking with peers from the industry who are as keen to learn about ecotourism and develop or improve products in their respective areas.

We would like to thank our main partners, Bluewater Consultancy and Ecotourism Philippines – this event would not have been possible without them. We would also like to thank the Department of Tourism – Cordillera Administrative Region for their support, and our other partners in sustainable tourism, Aquamundo, Conquer and EPIC Philippines.
